Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Syntrax Studios (“we”, “us”) collects, uses, and protects your information when you use RC LINK (the “Service”) on the web and as a mobile app. By using the Service you agree to this policy.

Information we collect

Account information — your display name, email address, and password (stored only as a secure hash).
Location — an approximate home location you set (city/ZIP, a map pin, or your device location) and a search radius, used to find nearby tracks and events. Your precise location is never shown publicly and is not shared with other users.
Preferences — the racing classes you select, tracks you follow, saved posts and events, and notification settings.
Activity — likes, comments, and content you post (as a track administrator), plus reports you submit.
Device & usage data — basic technical data (device type, app version, error logs) needed to operate and improve the Service.

How we use your information

To build your personalized feed and recommend nearby tracks and events.
To deliver notifications you have enabled (urgent alerts, schedule changes, rules updates, reminders).
To operate accounts, authentication, and track-administration features.
To keep the Service safe — moderating reported content and preventing abuse.

Location data

Location is used solely to compute distances to tracks and events and to filter what you see. You can use a city/ZIP or a manually placed pin instead of device location, change your radius at any time, or remove your location in Settings. We do not sell location data or use it for advertising.

Notifications

With your permission, we send push notifications for the categories you enable. Urgent track alerts, schedule changes, and rules updates are on by default; general new-post notifications are off by default. You can change these per track, per class, and per type in Settings, or disable notifications entirely in your device settings.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with service providers that help us run the Service:

Supabase — database, authentication, and file storage hosting.
Vercel — application hosting.
Mapbox — map rendering (only if maps are enabled; coordinates sent are approximate).
Apple Push Notification service / Google Firebase Cloud Messaging — to deliver mobile push notifications.

We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users.

Data retention & your choices

We keep your information while your account is active. You can edit your profile, classes, location, and notification preferences in Settings at any time. To delete your account and associated personal data, contact us at privacy@rclink.app. Some records may be retained as required for legal or security purposes.

Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted here with a new effective date.
