1.Chassis
Stock Traxxas Slash 2WD chassis and components, unmodified unless otherwise specified (LCG chassis legal). Traxxas Slash aluminum steering bellcranks (#3743 / 3743A / 3743X), caster blocks (#3632), steering blocks (#3636), camber links, and rear axle carriers (#3652) allowed. RPM rear carriers (#80382), front steering blocks (#80372), caster blocks (#80712), and front (#80952/80953/80955) & rear (#81002/81003/81005) bumpers allowed. Transmitter, receiver, and servo may be replaced (servo saver is not a tech item). All suspension in proper factory position/orientation. The front bumper "hoop" and "ears" may be cut off (main area must remain intact unless using a body-manufacturer front mount). No sway bars. Minimum ride height .750" (including body).
2.Body
Any Midwest Modified body or Late Model body.
3.Differential
No locking or modifying the differential in any way — must have normal diff action. No ball diffs.
4.Weight & Electronics
Any additional weight must be within the main chassis plate area. The ESC, transponder, and receiver can be mounted anywhere in the main chassis plate area.
5.Motor, ESC & Battery
Stock XL-5 ESC (unaltered) and unaltered Titan 12T 550 brushed motor. Stock bullet connectors, no soldering. No cooling fans. Any 2S 7.4V hard-case LiPo, max 8.44V, charge in a LiPo sack. Battery in the stock center tray (may move within the stock tray boundaries). Any plug for the battery-to-ESC connection; no direct soldering.
6.Tires & Wheels
Any 2.2/3.0 SC wheel made for the 2WD Slash (19mm front / 21.5mm rear offset), minimum 2 vent holes, front on front and rear on rear. Stock Traxxas Slash tires: Slash Spec Kumho Venture, BF Goodrich; no S1 compound. No altering the inside of the tire (gluing/taping the outside is allowed). No slicks — minimum .065" tread. One foam insert per tire.
7.Shocks & Springs
Any Traxxas Slash tuning spring; springs may not be cut or altered. Aluminum shock caps (any color) allowed. Shock oil and travel not mandated; no 2-stage pistons.
8.Gearing & General
Open gearing. If it does not state that you can do it, it is NOT allowed. Approved RPM parts: 80712, 80832, 81002, 81003, 81005, 80902, 80905, 80372, 80382, 80244, 80249, 80599, 73752, 80592, 80595, 80594. All aluminum parts Traxxas makes for the 2WD electric Slash are allowed.
