We will have practice this Wednesday 5-10pm and added a weekly race day for this Saturday, normal time. We did single car qualifying in 2 classes this past Saturday and probably again this Saturday. We also are thinking of doing 2 rounds of heat races and 2 - 50 lap Features for some classes. More info on that later this week.
We are testing the cross-posting functionality of our new app!
Batesville, get ready — this Saturday is going to be a heater on the carpet while you stay cool inside Big Daddy’s Indoor Motorsports. Doors crack open at 8 AM, and the first green flag drops at 11 AM. We’re loading the track with pure oval action only this weekend, and the lineup is stacked: Losi NASCAR Losi Nastruck Losi Late Models Mojave Groms UDIRC Rally Cars Word is… we might have some legends in the house this weekend. If you’ve been wanting to see big talent rip the oval up close, this is your chance. It’s the perfect time to get out of the heat, grab your spot on the rail, and watch the fastest carpet battles in Arkansas. And remember — oval only this Saturday because the Big Daddy’s crew will be heading to Batesville Motor Speedway for the Lucas Oil Topless 100. 🏁 High speed. Tight lines. Big personalities. Big Daddy’s. Be here.
I wanted to let everyone know that the rally race at the popcorn fest the night before is not gonna happen this year, it was a combination of what I had to do legally with Insurance and the timeframe of it being two days after I get back from the Las Vegas vintage race, making it very tough for time constraints. Now that I know who is handling the event and their contact information and what is entailed I’m being told that they would like to have it at the event next year so that we give me plenty of time to prepare and be ready. I just wanted to let people know in case they were trying to leave that day open on their schedule, thanks.

Those of you here for the off-road updates, I have one. Last week I went and collected samples of my dirt options and brought them home for testing — didn't really find what I was looking for but selected the best available. This morning I called for 66 cubic yards, and it should be here by the end of the day. I expect to move dirt daily until gone, then repeat this order. So we are under way again!

It’s race day! Let’s get them Big Tire cars out and show that big tires are still around and thriving. We’ll also have a raffle for a Traxxas Slash Mod, and 50/50 — all proceeds go to track improvements. PDC will be on the big TV tonight, feel free to come out and watch. And who doesn’t like IPA tractor pulls — they’ll be pulling tonight as well!
SHARE SHARE SHARE!!! Good Afternoon... ALL events for tomorrow are CANCELLED until next Saturday (8-1-26). Bertha The Storm must hate racing is all i can figure, cause it has dumpeddd some rain today and we did not need it — or the track for sure didnt need it!! Im not sure where the solid bottom is but its not 8-10 inches deep, cause thats prob how far youll sink in it if you walk across it 😢, and with more rain coming tomorrow mid afternoon, i jus dont see it making sense. I dont want racers driving here then sittin and watchin rain — thats what porches are for. Next week is an absolute must race for us; baring somethin completely out of the norm it will happen. Im sorry folks but trust me it cost me on rainouts and i dont want it costing yall. Boys in north GA are racing so go see them and ill see yall next week. Have a great weekend and be safe!! Thank yall for the continued support of this place 🙏 and we will race sooooonnnn. Beard Out ✌
Let’s do a lil club racing tonight! Practice at 6 to 7, racing shortly after. $10 first entry, $5 on any extra. There will be horse racing going on at the same time tonight — so please, when you come down the lane, drive slowly, and do not park along the fence on the horse track. All are welcome tonight! Then we get ready for tomorrow’s Big Tire Summer Showdown.
New Losi Dirt Late Model update. Leisure Hours gave me a demo car for practice last night for guys to drive. Car is really good out of the box — a minor adjustment to the RF and it was even better. This car and class will take off like the Losi sprint cars. Release date is next Wednesday, so go get one and bring it out next Wednesday for practice. We’ll start a class for them next Saturday. For now it will be out-of-the-box Crate class only. Absolutely NO CHANGES!! We’ll also have one to rent on race days, along with the Sprint car, for the $20 entry fee. If you’re interested, message me to save it. Leisure Hours already has 11 cars on the list to buy one! Don’t wait.
Anything and everything RC… if it flies, floats, races, climbs, crawls, smashes, hauls or even runs on a track with slots, PT’s is hosting a 3-day swap meet for everyone interested in the hobby — and just in time for the switch from outdoor to indoor racing season. Out with the old and in with the new (or slightly used) 👍 Reply to our post if you would like to guarantee a spot. We are at 1601 Bunn St., Bloomington, Illinois.
We are planning something a little unconventional. On Friday night, July 24th, a club race will precede the Big Tire Summer Showdown on Saturday — two days of racing! Practice runs from 6pm to 7pm on Friday, followed shortly by racing. Entry is $10, with additional classes $5 each and one class free. We invite drivers with big tire cars to come out Friday to familiarize themselves with the new track and facilities. If you’d like to camp, you’re more than welcome to.
It's been announced before, but because of health reasons Thornhill (unless someone buys it to keep it going) will be closing after the worlds. Here's the schedule looking forward: • Club race July 25th • Last Road to the World's Series race Aug 1st • Club race Aug 8th • Last club race Aug 15th • All renters out of pods by Sept 1st (unless racing at worlds) • Aug 16th — track closed until the worlds • Sep 28 – Oct 3 — IFMAR Worlds • Nov 6–8 — The Last Hurrah Race at Thornhill
Lots of posts lately claim allowing a different radio ruins RTR classes. Here's the case for allowing decent radios: A radio is support equipment, not part of the car — we don't require the trickle charger or the batteries that come in the box either. When a new driver quits, it's almost never because they "can't compete" — it's because they can't control their car, and the fixes (turn down the throttle, reduce steering sensitivity) can't be done well with the stock RTR radio. A better radio makes racing a better experience for a novice driver. That's why every RTR class at my track allows changing the radio.
The weekend of July 25th promises to be an exciting event, showcasing the enduring popularity of big tire cars. A Traxxas Slash Mod will be raffled off, accompanied by a 50/50 draw. Additionally, IPA tractor pulls will take place on the premises. We invite you to bring your family and enjoy an afternoon of racing and tractor pulls with us. Top 3 in each class will trophy, along with a $50 bounty in Open SC Street Stock. We will explain the rules in the drivers meeting.
LONG ONE AGAIN LOL... Good Evening... well i guess its my turn to weigh in on the "elephant in the room" if you will... Losi Late Model. Heres my take on these kinda classes period: 1st — there are tracks out there that have been around way before rtr stuff started, so carbon cars are desired at them locations and seem to carry alot of them tracks, and thats fine. 2nd — what starts out as a box stock class eventually transforms into a class that dies like sr10. Its my belief, from being around and seeing it, that changes allowed to box stock classes very much limit the potential of them classes, especially if a guy/gal buys one to race and their budget doesnt allow for them to compete with the changing rules packages. So is it really a rtr class then? 3rd — us as track owners have a responsibilty to the racer to give them the best possible event in a timely manner. So if we keep piling classes on the docket, a 75 entry club race lasts 10 hours, then lord forbid — but also think about the time wasted waiting on racers to get to the track and/or waiting on turn marshalls. So this is how i go about it: my job has always been the developing of racers and i have done classes that lean that direction. I do see places to fit rtr classes in the program but i dont see the need for multiple classes of rtr based cars. Sorry not sorry. I was begged jus about to add losi sprint and i finally did — and its prob the lowest supported class here! So racers, if you want classes, support the dang class, cause ill drop a class in a second that doesnt get supported, and racing with 2 other racers is jus boring imo. Ill touch on this while im here... midget class was really a good class to learn consistency and car control, but they was edgy and at times hard to drive, and now they lack support at most tracks im sure. Soo was that a problem with racers not wanting to struggle to learn a car and wanting immediate success, or was that a class design problem? So in closing... it takes both of us (track owners and racers) to allow tracks to stay open and thrive. Competition is good for the soul even if it is a rtr class, but lets leave it at that for a while and have fun. If you wanna race, go faster and spend more — jump up to carbon cars, struggle and learn a new craft and proceed. Jus my .02. Beard Out ✌
SHARE SHARE SHARE... Good Evening... Racing @ Lil Dega will be next Saturday (7-25-26). It will be a points race but everybody is welcome no matter if your in points or not. Ill make another post next week with times and such. I know its gonna be warm and i dont mind starting later in the day, but i try to get races done as early as possible so yall can get back home before too late, so we could do 1 heat and mains for the smaller classes and run full program for the larger classes that have more competition. We will figure it out im sure. Yall have a great rest of your week and be knocking the dust off them hotrods!! Beard Out ✌
This Saturday July 18th is round 5 of the Road to the World's Series. We made a change to the layout to help it flow better — thank you Santos and Chris Hatch. Saturday practice 8:30–10:30am, racing at 11am, signups close 10:30am. Friday practice $20. Saturday $35/$25.
We had some great club racing out at the Bluff last night! The track was elbows up and it had a wide groove. Congrats to Brayden Wheeler and Andrew Baker on their first wins at the Bluff. Thanks to everyone for coming out — congrats to all the winners! See you at the next one!
